5. Animals

Today I will be talking about animals. Animals come in all different shapes and sizes, some are massive, some are so small you can’t see them! I hope you enjoy my first guest blog on Give Me Earth. Pets

Of course, everyone has heard of pets. The most common pets are cats and dogs. Some other pets include hamsters, rabbits, chickens, snakes, stick insects, lizards, goats, and the list goes on and on. Most of you that have dogs probably have them outside right now. Humans have lived with pets and other companion animals for thousands of years.

Zoo Animals

Most of you have gone to the zoo, or at least knows what the zoo is. The zoo contains a wide variety of animals from monkeys to snow leopards to Meerkats. Not all zoos will have all these animals, but the most common ones are Lions, Tigers, Frogs, Butterflies in the butterfly’s house, Monkeys, Lemurs, Elephants and Crocodiles. My favorite animal in the zoo is the Red Panda. There are a family of Red Pandas in Australia Zoo at the Sunshine Coast. Poachers

Now if you don’t like animals getting killed, I suggest that you don’t read this paragraph. Poachers go out into the wild and illegally kill animals for their resources. Rhinos have been hunted almost to extinction for their horns. Their horns are the same as human fingernails but unfortunately some people that you can make medicine from them. I wish they would just bite their own fingernails instead. There are only two white Rhinos left in the world because of poachers. To help save animals from poachers, don’t buy products from the black market or anything that might be made from rhino horns.

Farm Animals

There are a lot of different farm animals out there and here are some types:

  • Pigs

  • Goat

  • Horses

  • Ducks

  • Donkeys

  • Chickens

  • Sheep Cow

  • Goose

  • Emus

  • Alpacas

  • Deers

Farm Animals produce Food and liquid, Cows produce milk, and bacon comes from pigs, yes, I know that it’s basically poaching pigs, but they make offspring before being killed so it’s not really poaching.

Extinction

Once upon a time, Dinosaurs roamed the Earth, there were carnivores, (They just ate meat) herbivores, (they only ate plants) or omnivores (ate both meat and plants). Anyway, they went around living a peaceful life, and then a asteroid came and hit earth. The radius of the asteroid was 5km (3.1 miles) and left a 145 km crater (95 miles). It wiped out all the dinosaurs and then came the ice age.

Ice age animals adapted to the cold, but then when all the ice started to melt they slowly started to die.

Nowadays, Extinction is either from poaching or from them dying to some other cause such as disease or from having no natural habitat due to humans cutting down forests.

I hope you learned something from my first guest write on give me earth either new farm animals or poachers and not buying Illegal stuff from the black market. If you like my first ever blog, then hit that like button down below, see you next time, on Give Me Earth!
